A freestanding tripod for your Sequoia, Cypress or Redwood table leg
The quick answer: the Radix tripod takes the table leg you've already got, a Sequoia, Cypress or Redwood, and turns it into a freestanding table. You lift the leg and top out of the floor base in the van, drop the leg into the Radix outside, and you've got your table in the awning.
What is the Radix?
It's our own design: a folding three legged base in 6082 aluminium, powder coated black or silver, with a leg adaptor plate to suit your leg system. It's patented, the Radix name is trademarked, and it's made with the knowledge and permission of ITC, who make the Sequoia, Cypress and Redwood.
Which Radix do I need?
There are two fittings. Choose the Sequoia fitting for a Sequoia leg, or the Cypress and Redwood fitting for either of those. It won't work with the MOD or the MOD Cypress hybrid, or any other cantilevered system.
Will my table be the same height?
Not quite. The Radix adds 93mm to the height of your table compared with the floor base, so it sits a little higher outside than it does in the van.
Is it stable on grass?
Use it on firm, level ground with all three legs fully open and the weight in the middle of the table. Under each rubber foot there's a hidden 8mm hole, so on grass you can take the foot off and peg or screw it to the ground. For tops bigger than about 750 x 500mm, we'd use ground fixings wherever you can.
Can I use it inside the van?
Yes. It's just as handy as a freestanding base inside, for example where you'd rather not fit a floor base.
How much room does it take up?
Opened out it covers about 580 x 460mm of floor. Folded, it's 395 x 100 x 75mm and weighs 1.8kg, and our table leg storage kit will hold it neatly in a locker.
