Our shelf system fits across the divider panel between the kitchen and the seating. This is the version for the newer seat base, with a bridge that spans the raised centre where the seat belts come through. It gives you a proper shelf above the worktop for a coffee machine, an air fryer, phones on charge, books, or anything else you want to hand.
Handmade to order in our Somerset workshop from laminated plywood, light but strong, CNC machined so it fits properly and looks like it came with the van.
Bürstner have used two different seat bases in the Lyseo. This kit is made for the newer frame, the one with a raised block in the middle where the seat belts come through, as in the pictures.
Pull the seat cushions forward and have a look. If there is a raised block in the middle, this is the right kit. If the metal frame is flat all the way across, you have the older base and need our standard kit, so please get in touch before ordering.
The newer base is fitted to the Bürstner B66 and to later Lyseos, so please check the seat itself rather than going by the year of your motorhome. The year on the paperwork is the registration, not the build, so a later van can still have been built on earlier stock.
Slim Jim, 937mm x 160mm
The compact option, neat and out of the way. Good if you have a drop down bed and would rather leave the shelf in place when the bed comes down.
Wide Boy, 937mm x 250mm
Deeper and more useful day to day. Room for a coffee machine or an air fryer. If you have no drop down bed, this is usually the one to go for.
TD and coachbuilt models take the 150mm upstands, A-class and I-class take the 190mm. Please pick the right one above, there is no difference in price. Black upstands are available as well if they suit your interior better.
Choose your edging above to match your interior as closely as possible.
A gallery rail can be added using the selector above, in stainless or black. It keeps smaller things put while you are travelling or parked on a slope.
Fitting is straightforward and we supply a full step by step guide with photos. The gallery rail has its own guide if you have ordered one.
Bürstner changed the Lyseo seating area a fair bit over the years. Many models have a window surround behind the seat. If yours has one, the Slim Jim is usually the easier fit, as the shelf can then sit alongside it.
Our photos show the most common upholstery, where the top of the seat back sits below the divider panel, so the cushions tuck in neatly under the shelf.
If you are not sure which version you need, send us a photo of your seating area and one of the seat base with the cushions out, and we will tell you which kit suits your motorhome.
